5th ANNUAL KEENE KARAOKE IDOL WINNERS ANNOUNCED


At the August 4 finale of Keene Karaoke IDOL at the Moose Lodge, Keene, NH the following winners were chosen.  Grand prize $1250 and a day in the recording studio at Angry Chair Studios of Turners Falls, MA, Shelby Lyn Rogers; 2nd prize $750, Kim Patterson; 3rd prize $500, Karen Bays.  Audience favorite award $250, determined solely by audience votes, went to Zac Binney.

TOP 10 KARAOKE IDOL FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

The top ten IDOL contestants will compete with a song of their choice and a Broadway selection at the Finale of the fifth annual Keene Karaoke IDOL on Friday, August 1!  Competing for the grand prize of $1250 and a day of recording at Angry Chair Studios in Turners Falls, MA are Karen Bays, Zac Binney, Robert Donohue, Matt Dunton, Wade Garrett, Kim Patterson, Debbie Pickering, Shelby Lyn Rogers, Barbara Zerillo and Jamie Zielinski.

Second prize is $750, third prize $500 and the Audience Favorite Award is $250.  Audience members vote nightly toward the 1st-3rd place winners and these votes are compiled exclusively for the Audience Favorite Award.

Emcee Parker Springfield is Operations Manager for Great Eastern radio (WGXL, WXXK, WTSL, WTPL, and WVRR) including Keene's only locally owned and operated radio station 101.9 K-Rock.  Music provided by High Note Productions (www.highnoteproductions.com) with over 50,000 digital songs in their library.  Judges include Ted McGreer, five-year alum and owner of Ted's Shoe and Sport; Shana Stack, lead singer for the country band Fastlane; Steve Pro, front-man for the Tom Foolery Band; and Judy Fine, owner of the Judy Fine Singers and Musicians Studio on Emerald Street, Keene.  Webmaster for the fifth year is David Teubner, owner of KeeneOnline www.keeneonline.com/idol.

The contestant pool has been narrowed to the Top 15 for week 3 of the fifth annual Keene Karaoke IDOL!  Going on to the July 25 Elimination Round 3 at the Moose Lodge, Park Ave in Keene, NH will be Karen Bays, Zac Binney, Tami Brooke, Robert Donohue, Matt Dunton, Nichole Farnham, Wade Garrett, Dawn Mayo, Kim Patterson, Debbie Pickering, Shelby Lyn Rogers, Johanna Schillemat, Edward Sheldon, Barbara Zerillo and Jamie Zielinski.  Contestants will sing one song of their choice and one song from the Wheel of Death.

The contestant pool has been narrowed to the Top 20 for the fifth annual Keene Karaoke IDOL!  Going on to Elimination Round 2 will be Karen Bays, Zac Binney, Tami Brooke, Paige Cushing, Linda Denno, Robert Donohue, Matt Dunton, Nichole Farnham, Alex Faulkner, Wade Garrett, Cassandra Holloway, Sarah LeClair, Dawn Mayo, Kim Patterson, Debbie Pickering, Shelby Lyn Rogers, Johanna Schillemat, Edward Sheldon, Barbara Zerillo, Jamie Zielinski.
